ASIA’S
ONLY UK ACCREDITED TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT COURSE, OFFERED ON-LINE |
| |
At the time of the second world war the quality
of Japanese products was known to be sub-standard.
After the war, Japan decided to change the image
of the quality of their products. They invited
quality management experts like Dr. W. E. Deming
and Dr. J. M. Juran from USA to assist them
in this effort.
Till such time “quality” was regarded
as a “technical function” in all
parts of the world. Dr. Deming & Dr. Juran
taught the Japanese industrialists that unless
they see “quality” as a “management
function” they cannot improve the consistency
in the quality of their products and services.
We all know of Japan’s success in world
markets after 1970. Largely, their success was
due to the wide-spread implementation of the
quality management concepts of Dr. Deming &
Dr. Juran. So much so that Japanese products
became a threat for American organizations on
their own soil.
Many of the concepts used by Motorola in Six Sigma Management can be traced back to TQM. Many of the tools used in Six Sigma even today are the ones developed by Dr. Deming and Dr. Juran.

A
study of the successful Japanese companies reinforced
the following observations |
| |
 |
Quality
improvement roles cannot be delegated. They
must be carried out by the senior managers
personally, |
 |
Producing
“better quality” costs much
less than producing “bad quality”,
contrary to popular belief, |
 |
Strategic
Quality Planning is a must for any organization
that wishes to achieve a reputation for
“world class” quality. This
requires that quality-improvement goals
must be made a part of the organization’s
annual business plans, |
 |
The
route to business excellence lies in focusing
on customer-satisfaction, improving business-processes,
developing the capabilities of employees
& suppliers and active participation
of all employees as also the senior management. |

Growing world-wide demand for Total Quality Management (TQM) professionals: |
| |
Traditional business management courses often miss out on these aspects which are a critical requirement,
today, in both manufacturing and service businesses.
Asian Institute of Quality Management, based in India & Saudi Arabia, is fulfilling this felt-need of organizations by helping professionals to specialize in understanding and implementing the principles and methodologies of TQM and Six Sigma. Along with India, AIQM offers Total Quality Management certifications courses in Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Juran has predicted that 20th century was the century of “productivity” but 21st century will
be the century of “quality”.
The total quality management certifications courses will help individuals to benefit from the growing world-wide demand for quality professionals. It has been designed from a special standpoint to ensure that the students, who achieve this certification, are most useful to business organizations for establishing quality assurance systems and improving their business processes. |
